Point-based
Individual marks awarded for discrete credit points. Common in structured data questions and short-answer responses. Remedia identifies each accept/reject criterion from the mark scheme.
Extended / QWC responses
Longer written answers assessed for quality and content coverage. Remedia applies the levels-of-response descriptor approach, assessing the full answer against the band criteria.
Structured data and practicals
Questions requiring numeric answers, graph descriptions or data analysis. Remedia handles structured response boxes and multi-part questions with conditional credit logic.
